<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">TRUTH</span></strong>:   Let&#8217;s face it&#8230;we all have &ldquo;stuff&rdquo;.  You know the &ldquo;stuff&rdquo;?  The Ab-Lounge or exercise DVDs.  The bench, that doubles as a &ldquo;catch all&rdquo;.  Our treadmills, that we use every other week or so.  Even though our intention was great, our homes are indeed cluttered with &ldquo;stuff&rdquo; that we just don&rsquo;t use to their greatest extent.  <a href="http://mygymsuccess.com" target="_blank">When you belong to a gym or health club</a> you&rsquo;re more inclined to show up and start seeing results.  Of course, like anything you invest in for physical fitness&hellip;it&rsquo;s only good if you show up and use it. Fact is most gym memberships are very inexpensive, especially if you consider ALL the amenities that you get to utilize for your personal benefit.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">TRUTH</span></strong>:  It takes 10-12 weeks of regular exercise to become &ldquo;fit&rdquo;.  That is to improve one&rsquo;s performance lets say on a treadmill, as a measure of your oxygen capacity.  But in reality your health CAN improve after that very first brisk walk or run.  <a href="http://mygymsuccess.com/free-report" target="_blank">If you&rsquo;re someone that is out of shape or overweight</a> and typically has moderate elevated blood sugar levels, a single session of exercise with moderate intensity (like 30-40 minutes of brisk walking) will lower those blood sugar levels. We are bombarded from all sides with advice from so-called experts and diet gurus and TV <em>doctors</em> who give us conflicting advice about shedding pounds. They all say to stay away from fad <em>diets</em> and we all know what those are. Fad <em>diets</em> are ones that recommend only one type of food like the famous Grapefruit Diet (this one actually <em>work</em>s), Beet Juice Diet (horrible unless you love beet juice), and Liquid Diets. There are Egg White Diets, Milkshake Diets, Protein Diets, and, believe it or not, Carb Diets. Yes, there are more variations on <em>diets</em> these days than you can shake a carrot stick at. But we all know that these things don&#8217;t <em>work</em>, or rather, they all <em>work</em> to some extent. It&#8217;s not really losing weight that is a <em>problem</em>, it is keeping it off and that requires a different type of strategy, one that is not short term.</p>
<p>Thinking short term is normal. We resist long term goals and long term thinking because we know we will <em>lose</em> sight of the day to day dieting that is necessary to <em>lose</em> <em>weight</em> consistently. We try to give ourselves false goals like being able to <em>lose</em> <em>weight</em> by some future date or event such as an upcoming class reunion or wedding for example. Things, of course, did not work out that way in the long run. We run into some hitches in research into aging that science had not anticipated. The crux of the matter is that we will not be able to completely stop aging for a while, if ever.</p>
<p>When you are looking for a miracle, any setback looks like a huge disappointment. If you look at the aging research of the last 30 years or so from a more realistic perspective, however, you can see how far we have come. Nowadays, people live longer, healthier lives than ever before in human history. And it only promises to keep getting better. Research into aging can treat previously incurable forms of cancer, set back the clock on skin aging, and allow older people to live more active, healthy lives than ever before. And things seem to be only getting better from there. Who knows what tomorrow might hold.</p>
