You may think you are okay, but you are not up to par and

I really had no idea why I was struggling so much to get a
proper night’s rest, but I knew that something had to be
done. Now, I absolutely hate to go to the doctor, and
typically only do so as a last resort, so I decided to try a
couple of remedies of my own.
For chronic conditions, be sure you take your medications
without fail! People with chronic conditions are prone to
develop a ‘this won’t ever get better anyway’ attitude,
causing them to become lax about taking medications
intended to alleviate the symptoms which are keeping you
awake. Ask your doctor to test you for vitamin
deficiencies. If you have trouble sleeping every night, talk
to your doctor about the short-term use of a sleeping pill.
You may be able to readjust your sleeping patterns in just
a couple of weeks.
Can’t Sleep?
Do you have trouble sleeping? Millions of people trhoughout the world experience insomnia but we still know so little about why people can’t sleep. Scientific studies on sleep have been going on for around half a century but still we know little about sleep and why we absolutely must have enough of it to stay healthy. Studies have determined what the brain is doing when we’re sleeping, the phases of sleep, and common characteristics of sleep among different age groups.
We know that when we are ready to go to sleep particular brain cells send signals to the brain that it is time to stop secreting the chemicals that keep us alert during the day. We know that these cells are activated when the a hormone known as adenosine reaches a set level in the body.
Things don’t always work out as they should though. These cells may fail to send that ‘go to sleep’ signal or if the signal is sent it may be ignored. If this happens we just can’t sleep and if this continues we will develop chronic insomnia.
Why the brain cells do not send the sleep signal or why its signals are sometimes ignored we still don’t know even after 50 years of sleep research.
There are some things that we do know will help to overcome insomnia and these can tide you over a sleepless period. Listening to soothing music can help some people. Baroque music is the best for help with sleep. Or you can try listening to a specially constructed sleep CD that will take you into a relaxing brain state known as alpha waves. Of course you must carry out sensible lifesyle measures as well. Everyone knows that coffee keeps you from sleeping for example.
