Postpartum Support Corsets

Women commonly take measures to stay healthy while pregnant. Unfortunately, after giving birth many women stop practicing healthy habits. It’s common to take on this attitude now that the focus is on your newborn infant. You must remember that although your baby requires a large amount of attention, you must also take care of yourself for you and your baby. Pregnancy is hard on your body and many of your body’s soft tissue is stressed over extended periods of time. You belly weakens and muscles are stretched. This can take several months to fully heal. Hernias are common for post-delivery women. Proper support for your abdomen in the days and weeks following delivery is very important. Specialized support girdles can be a key factor to help prevent a hernia in the first place. Although relatively unknown to mothers, postpartum belts are one of the best (and inexpensive) aids to recovery after giving birth.
