Food and Fitness go Hand in Hand
Any talk about fitness is not complete without a discussion of food and nutrition. It is important to recognize what our body needs as a bare minimum for it to function normally and in excess for any activities such as exercises.
Being both a foodie and an exercise addict (which I have to because I love food), I was intrigued by the notion of how good, or more precisely how healthy are the foods that you eat.
This was further triggered by a friend who recently started an exercise program asking me if I could list the 10 healthiest foods on planet earth.
I decided to take him up on the challenge and came up with a list. I was pleasantly surprised (being primarily a vegetarian myself) that most of these were either vegetables or fruits. Now, I am not discounting the value of high protein in meats, but many people do not realize that there are plenty of proteins in vegetarian foods as well, some in excess of most meats.
You can read about my list of the 10 healthiest foods on the planet here and please do comment on it.
