Eating Healthy Food for Kids & Adults Alike

Healthy eating food just doesn’t happen by chance it takes a little bit of planning and sometimes persuasion if you have little ones to coax to eat vegetables at dinner.

As a Mom of a 2 and 4 year old I have learnt quiet early on how to not give kids food choices as if you do this they will want coco pops for 3 meals a day, I have been clever in the way that they do eat vegetables and it really works for me when it comes down to the kids having healthy eating habits.

What I do is first I lead by example, always in the fridge are carrot and celery sticks cut into finger lengths, this is so when I hear “Mom I am starving, what can I eat”? Then I know the vegetables are cut up and ready to be spread with a little peanut butter and a few raisins or a bit of cream cheese. Dinners are a breeze as all the vegetables that kids don’t like (but is good for them) is blended in the bolognaise sauce. Kids love pasta and especially Mom’s bolognaise sauce…little do they know!
