MYTH : Working out at home is better than the gym.

TRUTH: Let’s face it…we all have “stuff”. You know the “stuff”? The Ab-Lounge or exercise DVDs. The bench, that doubles as a “catch all”. Our treadmills, that we use every other week or so. Even though our intention was great, our homes are indeed cluttered with “stuff” that we just don’t use to their greatest extent. When you belong to a gym or health club you’re more inclined to show up and start seeing results. Of course, like anything you invest in for physical fitness…it’s only good if you show up and use it. But a good health club will be less expensive in the long run, since you won’t have to spend $1,500 or more on equipment that you hope will keep you motivated and use. Fact is most gym memberships are very inexpensive, especially if you consider ALL the amenities that you get to utilize for your personal benefit.

MYTH: If you can’t exercise regularly, why bother?

TRUTH: It takes 10-12 weeks of regular exercise to become “fit”. That is to improve one’s performance lets say on a treadmill, as a measure of your oxygen capacity. But in reality your health CAN improve after that very first brisk walk or run. If you’re someone that is out of shape or overweight and typically has moderate elevated blood sugar levels, a single session of exercise with moderate intensity (like 30-40 minutes of brisk walking) will lower those blood sugar levels. So if you can’t get at least 30 minutes of exercise in
daily, something is better than nothing. Every effort has it’s benefits.

In the never ending battle to get rid of cellulite, many women turn to anti cellulite treatments that can be dangerous to their health. Once such treatment is very common in France and is called mesotherapy. This treatment calls for drugs to be injected into the affected tissue. Most experts believe this is a high risk and unproven method that can lead to serious health issues. One of the biggest problems arising from this practice is the rash of infections that are occurring. The injection sites become inflamed and often ooze pus. Antibiotics are not effective in treating the painful area and surgery is the only way to drain the abcess.

There is a new advanced type of anti cellulite creme that has seen great results that has gained national attention. It uses a common asthma drug that has been approved by the FDA which actually causes fat cells to deflate like a balloon. It is said to reduce cellulite by up to 78% in 30 days. Many doctors have been recommending it and it has become quite popular. The company is offering a free trial so you can see for yourself if this new cellulite creme really works, before plopping down your hard earned cash.

These days there are programs dedicated not only to help people lose weight but to feel confident about themselves. These programs are tailor-made for weight loss and a healthy lifestyle and they give you all the tools and techniques you need to lose weight, shed pounds, and live a healthy lifestyle that is easy to maintain.
One of these products that has recently come to my notice is by Steve Jones and Frank Mangano and it’s called ‘The Power of Thin-Change Your Mind, Change Your Weight.

The program promotes effective weight loss safely, naturally and permanently and it’s probably going to be one of the most influential fat melting wellness systems on the market today.

A high majority of women suffer from the ugly, dimpled, cottage-cheese like skin on their thighs, stomach, buttocks, and legs, and many turn to Revitol Cellulite Solution as they do whatever they can to not just figure out how to reduce their cellulite or get rid of it, they actually follow through and try many different methods. A common question that arises is what types of anti cellulite treatment are truly effective to achieve that end? From what we can gather, there is no one proven way that will work for each and every woman who has cellulite. Results in terms of getting rid of the hideous bumps and dimples vary from person to person, sometimes quite dramatically.

A range of solutions exist, from expensive and somewhat risky surgical procedures to safer and much less expensive alternatives that include simple lifestyle changes like diet and exercise, spa treatments including various body wraps, and topical creams, lotions, and gels that you rub right on the skin in the areas where you have cellulite. The key to making any of these latter options work is persistence, time, and patience. Notable results will not occur in mere days or a week; you need to keep at it for at least a month to three months before you can judge.

One such excellent cellulite treatment cream to try is Revitol Cellulite Solution which is a very popular, all-natural topical cream that contains caffeine and Retinol A. So what is in Revitol Cellulite Solution and how does it work? As mentioned above, caffeine is the primary ingredient in this cream, and as such, a similar mechanism for smoothing your skin goes to work in the same way that coffee grinds applied to your skin can help to improve the overall appearance of your skin. What happens is that the caffeine causes an increase in blood flow to the area where the Revitol Cellulite Solution is applied, stimulating various natural metabolic pathways in the body. The increase blood to the affected areas means more nutrients serving those areas and thus a healthier skin. The surface of the skin itself is treated as well when this liquid solution is applied, softening it and moisturizing it by way of the shea butter in the cream. It also acts to firm and tone as a result of the horse tail extract present in this product and of course the Retinol A. This combination of action under the skin and on the skin itself gives an attractive firming look to those areas on your body that are riddled with the nasty looking cellulite. A combination of exercise, diet, and cellulite creams like Revitol will most likely provide the best solution to helping reduce cellulite once and for all.

Fantastic Anti Cellulite Shoes

Shoes? For reducing cellulite? OK! Why not!

Walking certainly is recommended as a cellulite control procedure as a detoxification method and to firm and tone muscles, but walking, jogging, or even hard paced athletic activity is never promoted as a cellulite reduction method when used by itself.

These specially designed anti cellulite shoes are a fantastic new product on the cellulite fighting scene. They promise to give every muscle from the toes up a complete workout. The anti cellulite athletic shoes are a product offered by Bliss Spa online. The marketing information claims that the colorful footwear provide a workout for muscles which normally don’t get used much. The muscle workout is purported to reduce the symptoms of cellulite.

The shoes also are supposed to help you with proper posture and improve your energy level just be wearing them in your daily routine. But this is not yet the top of the line product. At almost $500 the athletic shoe from the MBT will work under developed muscles. The company’s recommendation is that you wear the walking anti cellulite sneaker at $285 first for several weeks and then more to the Boost version. That’s close to $800 for a product that cannot possibly do what it is advertised to do i.e. cure cellulite just by wearing the shoes in your daily routine.

Interestingly enough, there is no indication in the advertising material presented on the Bliss Spa web page which would indicate how this amazing cellulite reduction shoe could possibly work. Obviously, someone must be purchasing the shoes, since they were first advertised in 2004 as a suggested Christmas gift idea and are still around today. However, it is noteworthy that there are no customer reviews of the product on the Bliss Spa web site. Whether that is because it’s a new web page; or because there were no reviews available is unknown.

You have only to look at fit and trim athletic young women with evidence of cellulite on their thighs in order to realize that exercise, even wearing assumedly great quality anti cellulite shoes designed for athletics does NOT cure cellulite.

For those women who still believe there is a magic-wand-answer for cellulite, the anti cellulite shoes will probably be tempting. By all means, go ahead and exercise wearing the shoes.

Exercise is good, and appropriate footwear for any athletic or even non-athletic activity is good for your feet, your posture and your health. Just don’t expect to see a fifty percent cellulite reduction in the first month after donning the shoes.
