Abdominal Exercises You Can Do Anywhere
If you want to flatten and strengthen that belly bulge you must do regular abdominal exercises. There is no way round it. You can lose the weight and still be left with a paunch, because abdominal muscles are weak and if we never use them they become weaker still. Not only that but weak abdominal muscles can often lead to a bad back. The balance between a strong back and strong abdominals is paramount for back health. People don’t always realize that one of the leading causes of back pain is the inability of our abs to support our weight, causing the back muscles to spasm and overexert.
You can do abdominal exercises at home quite easily and although you there are plenty of pieces of exercise equipment that help with abdominals equipment isn’t really necessary.
One of the best abdominal exercises you can do is the Basic Ab Crunch. This great ab workout will tighten your ab muscles and give you much more strength to support your back.The Ab Crunch is simple and quick and one of the best abdominal exercises available. Just lay down on the floor, press the small of your back into the floor and tuck your knees up with your feet flat on the ground. Put your hands crossed over your midsection and gently raise your head until you feel your ab muscles contracting. Make sure you do this exercise slowly and hold the position as long as you can at the top. When you put your head back down do it slowly. There are many variations on this basic crunch. For example when you lift your head twist to one side then the alternately. This strengthens the oblique muscles. Another variation is to lift your legs off the floor as you raise your head.
If you want to go further and develop really strong 6 Pack abdominals you can.
Important: With all these abdominal exercises be very careful to keep your back pressed tightly against the floor.
